You only need 45mins for this one!
Hi Wing Chun Renegades!
Set aside an hour, warm up with a good stretch and get stuck into this class. Livestreamed on Wednesday morning 1st April, this class starts with forms, moves on to kicking flow drills, solo chi sau training and finishes off with a Tabata.
Today’s mat chat discusses the power of visualisation. The mind is an amazing thing – use it!
The workout is a 4 set Tabata. A Tabata is a 20 second sprint with a 10 second rest x 8, so typically a 4 min workout – we’ll call that ONE SET today. This is a 16 min workout. You have 4 stations/exercises, you complete a full Tabata on one exercise before moving on to the next.
Finally True Boxing – looking at a Jab, Upper Cut and Hook drill designed to train you to move smoothly between punches.
See you on the mat!
PS if you missed this morning’s workout, it’s available on our Facebook Group page https://www.facebook.com/groups/rbkflivestream/ and will be posted on your RedBoatUni news feed in the future.
Good morning, afternoon or evening!
We hope you are doing well!
Here’s today’s workout and technical, keep training!
Mat chat: Small Victories; Home Workout: Animal Drills, Kettle Bell Swings and alternative to KB if you don’t have one; and new Daily Technical: Blue-Brown: Defence Against Straight and Round Punch

This week we looked at Chi Sau, where it belongs on the fight pyramid and where you can go when you’re winning the battle.
Often we would be looking at trips and takedowns when capturing a round kick to the mid-section. This week we looked at striking alternatives.
