Encompassed in the Wing Chun Blue Print is an impregnable defence. This live stream / class video is a study of Wing Chun’s unique defence strategy, also known as “box defence”. This class is about checking and blocking.

    Sifu Spain et all,

I thought this was a GREAT video because, if for nothing else, you show and make a distinction between the aspects of Wing Chun that are training and those that are combat/fighting. Showing that the Bong Sau/Lop Sau drill, is just a drill and should NOT be tried to utilize in combat! Also the low Gaun Sau to block a low kick versus defending with the elbow on that side.
I have often thought that Wing Chun’s notion of the forms not being a kata but an alphabet, offers someone of your experience to shed some light on the true nature of the movements.
I look foward to your videos and would like to help on your book!

    Thanks,

    Russ
